The “JomSihat: Sayangi Paru-Paru” event Wyndham Ion Majestic, Genting Highlands will take place on 14-15th December 2024, is part of our hotel Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program supported by NCT Group and Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel. This event aims to further the mission of “JomSihat” by providing a platform for education and awareness in a community setting important initiative to promote public health and well-being.

We will be hosting and entertaining a group of 70 underprivileged and B40 children with fun and games at our hotel, allowing them to enjoy the cold weather and majestic views around our hotel.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage with various educational activities, receive informative materials, and participate in interactive sessions designed to highlight the health risks of smoking and vaping. The event will also feature talks and workshops led by health professionals and educators, offering valuable insights and practical advice for leading a smoke-free life.

JomSihat is a collaborative initiative between civil society organizations (CSOs) and the Ministry of Health Malaysia, aimed at advancing tobacco control through education and awareness about the health impacts of smoking and vaping.

This initiative is designed to educate and inform the public, especially the youth about the dangers associated with tobacco and vape products. “JomSihat” focuses on youth-oriented education, targeting primary, secondary, and university students, as well as teachers and parents who play a crucial role in shaping young people’s attitudes and behaviors.
