The 61st Asia-Pacific Film Festival (APFF) will be held at the Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel in Genting Highlands, Malaysia from 29 November to 1 December. This historic event showcases the vibrant talent and creativity of filmmakers from across the Asia-Pacific region. This event organized by NCT Group, LOMO Pictures and Asia Pacific International Arts Festival.
APFF is one of the oldest and most prestigious film festivals in the region, founded in 1953. APFF is an annual event organized by the Federation of Motion Picture Producers in Asia-Pacific (FPA) and has been hosted in various cities across 25 different countries and regions.
We warmly welcome celebrated film legends Sammo Hung and Raymond Wong to our hotel, present the Lifetime Achievement Award for martial arts superstar Sammo Hung, who has been in the Hong Kong film industry for more than 60 years, the “FPA Most Outstanding Filmmaker Award” will be presented to Hong Kong veteran filmmaker Raymond Wong, the king of comedy for his lifelong dedication to cinema and outstanding contributions to Asian cinematic films.
For movie enthusiasts and budding filmmakers, come join the forum entitled “Filmmaking in Asia Pacific: Opportunities and Challenges” to discover the dynamics of filmmaking industry in the region. Join us on 1st December 2024, 10am at Wyndham Ion Majestic Grand Ballroom. This forum is open to the public, free of charge.
In addition, this year’s Asia-Pacific Film Festival will also join hands with the Organising Committee of the Asian International Arts Festival to launch the “3rd Asian International Short Film Festival”, which aims to provide a creative platform for emerging filmmakers.
